Greetings from Cuenca Ecuador!I arrived here yesterday morning and met with the local Gideons to review their plans for the coming week. They seem to have things in fairly good order, yet there are several loose ends to tie up. We will be working more on that today.
As of now, we will be making distributions at schools, universities, trade and technical schools on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday will be devoted to hospitals, clinics, hotels, fire, police and jails. On Friday, we will travel to the city of Azogues, about 30 min away, for distributions there.
The team is scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning from the states, and one from Sweden. There will be a church service for each on Sunday morning, in which we will have the opportunity to inform the congregations of the ministry.
Weather wise, it is just right. About 72 degrees and sunshine. We are trusting that this weather will hold up next week. The only hitch in the trip thus far is a lack of luggage. Somehow it did not follow me from Miami to Quito. Hopefully it will arrive today.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers; they are much appreciated.
~Mike (Team Leader)
