Flooding

Hi friends and family!

I'm sure you've all heard the news about the flooding in Nashville. Thankfully our area did not have any extensive flooding. So we are blessed. Our house is safe and dry. But so many are not.

We have friends who have lost their businesses, family members of friends have lost everything, and friends who know someone who lost their life. We are feeling very blessed at the moment.

Here are some flood pictures of some of the the landmark areas of Nashville. this doesn't even begin to cover the damage.

the Grand Ole Opry House

I posted some pictures on facebook recently of a walk we took along the river. This is the entrance to the walkway. The water goes for about four blocks.

Another view. I'm pretty sure the walking bridge we were on is completely gone now.

Joe's Crab Shack downtown on 2nd Avenue.

Downtown Nashville

Downtown before the Cumberland River fully crested. I work downtown so I had Monday and Tuesday off. Thankfully our offices weren't damaged.

This is a great article with some professional photos of the flood.

Please keep the people who have lost everything and have no flood insurance in your thoughts and prayers.
