New Wheels

The last time we bought a car was in 1998 when we got our VW Passat. What a challenge it is (at least for us) to commit to a vehicle. Chris' car has over 220,000 miles on it and is slowly falling apart. On top of that the VW has been having issues lately and isn't the most reliable.

We bit the bullet and decided it was time to start seriously looking for another car. Fortunately God timed things out nicely and as we started looking, the Gideons were wanting to sell their company cars, 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix's.

So, we are now the proud new owners of a sporty Grand Prix with only 38,000 miles on it. It's been so long since we drove a new car it feels strange! But it's definitely a good kind of strange! = )

Poor Chris would love to sell the VW and put the money into fixing his car. I reminded him that when your mechanic tells you it's time for a new car...then it's time for a new car!

Here's a picture of our new wheels. Now to decide who gets to drive it!

Wordless Wednesday

Sorry I'm a day late!

It was a gorgeous day and I wanted to try and finish the book I was reading. So I went to the drive through at Wendy's and then went to Centennial Park and found a table in the shade.

I'm a Bad Blogger!

Well my last post was at Easter promising to be more faithful to blog. I guess we all know how I did with that! Ha ha!

We've done a lot since Easter and have been so busy! There was a trip to Lynchburg for Easter, the Gideon State Convention where I had to give a presentation, feeding 200 people at the homeless shelter, and prepping for vacation. Which we just got back from!

I promise to update soon with details of everything. Especially our Bermuda cruise!
